ABOUT
LA BARBE BLEUE is the label WITH HAND PAINTED DESIGNS by
artist/designer NADIA VAN LUIJK & chef/photographer LONDON LOY.
This creative lovestory was founded many years ago. Not only a couple in private life, but Nadia and London also love to work together in many ways. Their labels La Barbe Bleue & Lady Moustache & are the perfect match. London is de face of La Barbe Bleue and does the photography and is a big inspiration. Nadia is the artist and creates all designs by hand. Together they are the creative masterminds, always thinking of new designs. When London participated on the 24Kitchen Food Truck Challenge, Nadia knew right away: I'm going to make you some dope customized shirts! The shirts got noticed very quick, the first orders came in during the filming of the program. After that we got many more orders, and LA BARBE BLEUE growed and growed...
London represents LA BARBE BLEUE in his SURI ANDERS youtube channel. The hand painted shirts/sweaters are exclusively made in our own studio. Also the designs for the digital printed shirts/sweaters are made in our studio and later printed by a professional textile printing company. The eco-paint we use is environmentally friendly and all designs are washable by hand or machine wash on 30º. We believe in the quality of handmade designs, the attention of craftsmanship and the value of originality.
